40th anniversary of the re-opening of Place House

by the Queen Mother

Sunday 8th July 11am - 5pm

11.15am a talk by Alan Thomson “Ware in 17th Century”

12.15pm a talk by Michael Howarth “A Sense of Place”

1.45 pm music by Christina Raven: “Strong Women”

2.45pm talk by Louise Reed: ‘Sunday July 8th 1978’

4pm talk by Helen Gibson: “Does Place House really date from the 1200’s?”

displays / activities for young people provided by Ware Museum /

cream teas & refreshments / free entry to the hall

Organised by Hertfordshire Building Preservation Trust (reg. charity number 232 686) all proceeds go to the upkeep of the hall.

Coincides with the Ware Town Tour (contact Ware Town Council for details)
